The chances of me becoming any less extra in the next few months is slim, so clubbing outfits for me will always be as excessive as possible, and since we’re going into the warmer weather I decided to get a new outfit rather than being in long sleeved body suits, jeans and thigh high boots whenever I go out.
I’m around 5 foot 7 inches and a size 4-6, so getting skirts to fit me is near enough impossible – however, this velvet ruched one from Misguided makes me feel so confident. I have a very slim figure so hardly any curves which has always in resulted in me being too self-conscious to wear anything bodycon, luckily the ruched effect with the high waist and below the knee length enhances the length of my legs and gives the illusion of a curve from the back and side. The colour is something I was weary about, but I was getting so bored of wearing black on my legs, I feel as if I’m never throwing any colour into my look. The skirt is £20 from Misguided.
Topshop bralettes are so perfect if you have a little bust like mine, although I ideally didn’t want black I couldn’t find a colour to suit the skirt and knew this top was comfortable. I already own this one in emerald green and practically live in it over the summer. It’s black lace across the bust and comes down ever so slightly over the ribs so you can really see the detailing. This was £22 which is slightly pricey I’ll admit, but if I wear it enough as I’ve worn my green one I’m sure my bank account won’t be too upset with me.
My shoes are from Public Desire and were around £30 when I bought them back in October. I wear these all the time when I go out and they’re not as uncomfortable as they look. The lace up definitely keeps your feet in place which is always helpful when you’re 6 vodka and cokes in, attempting to dance to pole dance to Rhianna…
My favourite part of this look has to be the clutch bag. This sparkly Jimmy Choo is perfect for holding your ID, Card, Lippy and Beauty Blender and has a strong magnetic clasp to stop it from opening. Considering this was almost £650 (trust me, I’m shook too).
